My name is Felicity Rose, and I am the proud owner of Felicity Rose Designs. Those who know me, call me Flick, so seeing as you’ve dropped by to visit my page, feel free to do the same
My husband (then boyfriend), moved from the UK to Melbourne Australia in 2010. What was meant to be a 6–12 month trip, has now been 12 years. We became Australian Citizens in 2018 and could not be happier calling this incredible place home
You may have seen a little glimpse into our home life on socials. I am a wife, and a mum to two incredible little humans, Isabelle and Alfred, and two Labrador fur babies, Theo and Maggie. We love spending time together as a family, exploring new places, and spending time at the beach – my favourite place to be in the whole world.
I am a full time Nurse, working in a Paediatric Emergency Department, which is an incredible job. As if I wasn’t busy enough, I have just completed my Masters of Forensic Medicine which I am incredibly proud of. I am not quite sure how I did this while having babies, being in and out of lockdown and working, but I did it and I am chuffed … now I need to try to find a career pathway into it … another challenge!
How did it begin?
Having such a challenging job, I used to struggle to wind down and switch off at the end of the day and knew I needed an outlet. After asking my Mum for a sewing machine one year for Christmas, my love for a needle and thread grew, and soon after, Felicity Rose Designs was born. Sewing quickly became my way of forgetting about everything going on in my head, giving me the opportunity to have “me time” in my own perfect space. My studio is at home, allowing me to sew away with any spare time I have
